Request data deletion

Yelomyth Wallpapers has no user account. You can still request deletion of personal data processed by Yelomyth Labs in connection with the app, at any time, by email.

1. Controller and scope

This page covers the Android app Yelomyth Wallpapers by the brand and publisher Yelomyth Labs. It supplements the Privacy Policy and describes only how a deletion request is made and handled. It does not cover the separate desktop wallpaper shop.

Controller:
Yelomyth Labs
Proprietor: Kevin Mende
Behmstraße 7
13357 Berlin Mitte
Germany
Email: info@yelomyth.com

2. Yelomyth Wallpapers has no user account

The app offers no sign-in, no registration and no Yelomyth user account. There is therefore no account that could be deleted, and no Yelomyth cloud sync of your favourites or preferences. Our own server code also keeps no permanent purchase or user database.

Most app data is stored only locally on your device. You can remove that data yourself, without a request — see section 4. For anything beyond that which Yelomyth Labs processes, you can request deletion.

3. How to make a deletion request

  1. Send an email to info@yelomyth.com.
  2. Use a clear subject line, for example: “Yelomyth Wallpapers – Data Deletion Request”.
  3. Include only the information needed to identify your request — such as what it relates to and whether you have contacted us before.
  4. Yelomyth Labs will process the deletion request and respond where a response is necessary.

Please do not send sensitive data we do not need. In particular, do not send passwords, payment or card details, purchase tokens, download authorisations, secret keys or identity documents. None of that is required for a deletion request. If identity verification is necessary in an individual case, we will discuss it with you beforehand.

4. Data you delete yourself on the device

Favourites, download metadata, dismissed catalogue notices, the selected language, image caches, purchase credentials and the encrypted entitlement status are stored locally on your device. Yelomyth Labs has no remote access to them and cannot delete them for you. You remove them yourself:

  • “Clear cache” in the app settings removes image-preview and in-memory image caches. It does not erase all app data, purchase credentials or private live videos.
  • Clearing app storage or uninstalling the app through the Android settings removes the local private app data, including the private live videos.
  • Exported wallpapers in your gallery (Pictures/Yelomyth) must be deleted separately in your gallery app.
  • Mind Android backups: existing system or cloud backups are not necessarily removed when you clear app data and may restore data later. Manage backups through your device’s backup settings or those of your backup provider.

Resetting or uninstalling the app does not delete a purchase made through Google Play — see section 6.

5. Data Yelomyth Labs deletes on request

In connection with the app, Yelomyth Labs itself processes mainly the following:

  • Email correspondence: your email address and the content of your message when you write to us. This can be deleted on request, unless a statutory retention obligation applies (section 7).
  • Technical logs of the hosting infrastructure at IONOS, created when the catalogue, media and API are requested (including requested paths, timestamps, HTTP status and connection information). On request we check what can be removed within what is technically possible and legally permitted.
  • Server-side security counters used to limit abusive purchase-validation requests. They are kept under a hash of the IP address or the IPv6 network prefix and contain no names, contact details or device identifiers. Targeted attribution to an individual person is generally not possible for us; they are cleaned up during normal operation on subsequent validation requests once their time window is outdated.

What does not exist: there is no Yelomyth user profile, no server-side copy of your favourites and no permanent purchase database in our own server code. Our own API code does not log purchase or download tokens. Your favourites list is not sent to the entitlement service by our app code.

6. Data held by Google

Part of the processing is carried out by Google and not by Yelomyth Labs. We cannot delete that data for you and do not claim to be able to:

  • Google Play: purchase and billing records tied to your Google account. Purchases, refunds and the related data are managed through Google Play or your Google account; Google’s own policies and legal obligations apply.
  • Google AdMob and the User Messaging Platform (UMP): advertising and consent processing as described in section 5 of the Privacy Policy. You can reopen and change your consent choices in the app under Settings → “Privacy & ad settings” whenever UMP offers options. The advertising ID and further privacy controls are also managed in the Android settings.

For more on how long Google retains data and how to manage it: Google’s data retention information and Google’s Privacy Policy.

7. Data that may be retained, and why

Deletion takes place unless legal obligations or compelling operational reasons prevent it. In particular, the following may be retained:

  • Records subject to statutory retention requirements, for example commercial and tax documentation. Such records are not deleted contrary to those obligations; in these cases processing is restricted to meeting the obligations.
  • Correspondence, for as long as necessary to handle your request and to meet applicable legal obligations — including evidence that your deletion request was processed.
  • Hosting and security logs and related backups. They may be retained by the hosting provider under its operational and security policies, particularly for secure operation, abuse prevention and troubleshooting.
  • Data processed by Google (section 6), under Google’s own rules and legal obligations.

Retention always remains limited to what is necessary for the relevant purpose or legally required. We do not promise fixed deletion deadlines that are not documented, and we do not promise guaranteed immediate deletion. This matches section 8 of the Privacy Policy.

8. Handling, response and other rights

We process deletion requests without undue delay within the applicable legal framework and respond where a response is necessary. If we cannot fully or partly comply with a request — for example because of a statutory retention obligation, or because the data is not held by us — we will tell you why.

Besides erasure, and subject to the applicable legal conditions, you have rights of access, rectification, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. You may withdraw consent for the future. You may also complain to a data protection supervisory authority. Details are in section 12 of the Privacy Policy.
